Everything Except Infinity, Symbos

I created this question which gives restraints on the domain and range. The student should pick the graph that matches the constraints. There are 8 graphs to choose from and they are static. The domain and range constraints are dynamic and the correct answer letter is dynamic. The only thing I couldn't get is that I had to use "inf" in place of the infinity symbol. Is there a way around this?

While I'm not satisfied with this solution it does allow infinity to be represented with a symbol.

After my last reply, I realized that you can have a conditional equation. This is a much better solution.

Your solution gave me an idea of how I might show various diagrams that would each illustrate a different, but closely related, problem situation.

I wrote a question that allows four different diagrams to be displayed (a simple related rates diagram which shows two vehicles either approaching or moving away from an intersection), depending on the randomly generated problem. I have tried to attach it to this message on several occasions, but each time I get the error message: "You cannot upload this type of file". The bank contains one question with four small .bmp images. The bank (all 18k of it) was created with EV 6.2.1 and the pathway to the file appears in the upload box. I have tried having the bank on my desktop and in the EV folder.

Anyone else had this problem and, if so, is there a solution? Or am I doing something very silly?

I used a different computer to upload a .bnk file that I was previously unable to accomplish on my work laptop. It appears that our tech department has flipped a switch to prevent uploading.....

As previously stated, this bank contains one question which has four different diagrams that are displayed depending on the randomly generated problem.

Ok, I'm confused.
Is there some secret that I know?
How do you get the "display equation only if" box to show up?
When I add a new equation to a new question, it's not there.

Insert Variables in an Equation
To insert a variable into an equation:
Position the cursor at the location in the equation where you want the variable to appear.

Click the Insert Variable button or use the keyboard shortcut ALT+ V (Windows) or OPTION+V (Macintosh).

Select the variable you wish to insert from the list and click the Insert button.

Note: Do not insert variables defined with the Fraction functions into the equation editor. Instead, use a fraction template and insert the appropriate variables into the correct segments of the template.

Displaying equations
You can choose whether or not you want to display an equation by entering a variable into the Display equation (only if...) field. If the value of the variable is "true", the equation will be displayed in the question. If the value of the variable is not true, the equation will not be displayed in the question.

Note: Only include a single variable name, such as var1 in this field. Do not include a statement such as var1>5.
