It would seem that ExamView is the most well featured exam manager for the Mac, yet we haven't seen any updates from the developers in over three years (Feb 21, 2007)?
The software is still only PPC native, which adds to instability and slowness on modern Macs. This makes it hard to justify the expense and continued use of it. If the problem is lack of labor (i.e. Mac developers) or lack of interest/motivation (most publishers are turning to web-only solutions), perhaps you could consider releasing it to the open source community. I value the product, and depend on it, yet it seems like you doesn't want to dedicate the resources to produce a desperately needed revision. Please, please, please, can we have an update, or if not, can we see the source code? Greg Combs Professor of Political Science (also, independent mac developer) |

We have a planned update release sometime this year. I apologize for the delay in getting this done. We do have version 7 which is being fine tuned for public release. Thank you for your patience.

I have two important requests for the next upgrade of ExamView Test Generator (Mac version):
• Porting to universal binary, so that the program runs natively on x86 (Intel)-based Macintosh computers. • Support of scalable vector graphics (PDF). Thank you for your attention! |
