Main > PuzzleView > Images - If I Use The Same Image More Than Once...

If I use the same image more than once, does each image add to the overall file size, or does the application select only the first image?

I'm just trying to figure out if it is better to make a different image for each clue, or build a single composite image.

Thanks

Yes, if you select the same image file multiple times to associate that same image with multiple words, the image will be added multiple times to the word list file, thus making it larger.

Ideally, you should use the lowest bit depth possible. For example, an image may look very similar at 256-colors as compared to 24-bit images. The difference in size can be significant. Programs such as Microsoft Paint (included with the operating system) let you change the bit depth of an image.
