I tried to write a triangle question using a cartesian graph with right triangles and variables displaying near the different sides. Everything works great except when a radical is part of the textbox display. For example if a side is supposed to be 4 * sqrt(3), it shows up as 4 / 3 instead of 4 Root sign 3. The sqrs fuction works properly outside of the graph. Is this a bug, or the size of the textbox, or what?
Thanks. |

The formatting functions (sqrs, fracs, decs, ....) do not display properly inside equation editor. There are square root, fraction, overbars, ... within equation editor for display purposes.

The same is true of the Cartesian graph. We do have a request for that symbol to be introduced more easily into the Cartesian graph for a future version of ExamView. However, for now you can create a radical using Alt+0214 in Symbol font plus a very short line segment for the top bar. You can also use a graphic of the radical (attached) and use the Picture function within the Cartesian graph. Be sure the picture of the radical is above the text box that contains the number you wish inside the radical in your list of functions for the Cartesian graph.
