> Webct And A Macintosh, exporting

I don't understand how to export a quiz or bank from ExamView into WebCT. I have exported the file as an xml file but WebCT does not see any questions. This is seemless on a Windows machine with the zip format file, but not on a Mac. Can anyone help me? I have two instructors that are Mac only users.

Currently, the option to Export to WebCT or Blackboard is a Windows only option. If you have access to a P.C. you can import the XML file created on the Macintosh and use the Export to WebCT option on the Windows machine.

Currently there are no set plans to create a WebCT export option for the Mac. If we receive enough requests for this feature, we will explore this option further.

Yes, please! It is such a hassle to find a PC to simply export to WebCT format.

I am another Mac used that can't export a text bank to Blackboard. This is a serious limitation. I might add that I have not had the problem with Houghton Mifflin or Pearson/Prentice Hall.

Thank you for the requests. I will pass them onto our development team. In the mean time if you have access to a P.C. you can export your test as an XML file and import the XML file created on the Macintosh and use the Export to WebCT option on the Windows machine.

I am also a Mac user who finds the limitation of PC-only options to be quite burdensome. I add my voice to those urging that this software be fully Mac-compatible.

More mac support would be a welcomed addition, I too use Mac OS X and find it very time consuming to have to use an other computer, that is not in my office to upload these files. Also I have had no problem with McGraw Hill.

Seems to be an old thread. Is there any thing new relating to that ability to export tests to WebCT or Blackboard files using a MAC?

Thanks

The WebCT export option is still a Windows only feature of the software and you would need to export your files as an XML and import them into the Windows platform before you would be able to export them to WebCT.

I would add my voice to those already posted here. Our district is totally Mac and is moving to Mac X. It is difficult to use this product effectively when you don't have access to a PC machine. We only have 8 PC's in our library and 100+ Macs in our building. Please roll out an OSX version!!!

We Mac may not be many but we are loud, please put in a export to WEBCT feature with a Macintosh. I am having to send my test to a different location with a Windows machine. I may have to go with another publisher or testbank software.

Please, please, please add a WebCt export function for MAC OSX!!!! I have been holding out for over a year now, but I will have no choice but to switch to another product because of the difficulties I have been encountering.

I'll add my voice to the chorus... The ability to exchange (import from and export to) questions with WebCT is a critical feature missing in the current version of ExamView. I hope that you plan to add this ability to the next release of the program.
