> Retreive Test Results Over Lan

The students were able to take their tests, and received a score, but when the teacher went to input the grades from a LAN test the student had a 0 and no answers were recorded. We are running in a 1-1 wireless environment.

Were the results 0 for all students or just a single student? If it was all the students, the .EOT file could be corrupt. If it was a single student, the student may not have sumbitted their results or the student could have experienced a drop in the wireless network when s/he submitted the test.

Could there have been some tampering with the .EOT file on the network? If a student deleted or moved the file, the entire test could be corrupted.

We recommend having a paper test for the students to mark their answers on in case something happens during the exam, so you have a backup.

I have recently had the same problem. My students are in a wired network lab. I even tried having half the class take the test, and then the other half take the test. I still had some of the students test scores come back as a 0 even though they actually took the test and submitted it correctly.

If you have them also write down their answers, then that defeats the purpose of testing online through the LAN. You also would not be able to scramble the questions.

It would be great if a solution to this problem could be reached, because I really like the ExamView software. If this is the experience I am going to have every time we test, then I will have to find another program that will meet my needs to test online.

Is this a newly created .EOT file?
