Hello,

I am trying to create a probability question. The question lists 8 cards with random letters inside them.
Question: How can I create a card with a random letter inside it?
Note: I need the card reasonable small to display 8 cards on one line.

Thanks.

You could use a table with 1 row of 15 columns. Put borders on the odd columns and put the letters into those cells.

You can also use the Cartesian graph (Insert|Graph|Cartesian) and use the shape option to create rectangles. Use the text box option for the numbers on the cards.

The table and the graph are very good ideas. I used them on some similar questions already. But in this case, I have a "dynamic" count of cards (sometimes drawing 4 cards, other times 5 cards...).
As far as I know (please correct me if I am wrong), the show/hide functionality exists for equations only.

If you use the rectangles in the Cartesian graph for your "cards", you can choose to "Display shape only if...". This would be your best option if you want them to only show some of the tme.
