I recently upgraded to ExamView version 6.1.2 and now everytime I try to add a new test file into my CPS (version 3.60.1083) it says the test is LOCKED. I can add my old tests and they are not locked, only the new tests. How do I unlock these tests? Thanks

What version of CPS are you using? This is a known issue with earlier versions of CPS. You can download the latest version from our website:

I am having the exact same problem. You can't even access the test anymore to even delete them. It keeps saying it is being used by another program. I email my tests from home, so I still have another copy. I have to download the test, rename it, and add it to CPS everytime I want to use the test. I've had other problems since this last download as well. It doesn't recognize my receive half of the time. I have to restart CPS a couple of times to get it to work. This is starting to take up a great deal of class time. All of this started happening after that last update.

The LOCKED status of an ExamView file in CPS will appear if there is any problem linking to the file (file is in use, missing, corrupt, etc.). ExamView v.6 included a file format change to make the tests and banks cross-platform. In order to work with the new file format, CPS also required an update. If you started having issues with your files appearing LOCKED after upgrading to ExamView 6, it is likely that you need to update CPS to work with the new ExamView file format.

I have experienced the LOCKED file program only after an update to my CPS system. I have the v6 of ExamView. I will double check the version, but he got it off the website. Is there any other issue, such as settings that need to be changed?

Thanks!

CPS simply reads the ExamView file. If the file is being used by another program (ExamView), it will say locked. Please make sure that the ExamView software is closed when attempting this.
