> Algorithms In Questions, Online Use

I recently created a short multiple choice quiz containing algorithms. It worked fine to give me a set of four printed versions of the quiz with the questions scrambled, the answers scrambled, and the correct and incorrect answers all different on the four versions. I tried creating an html file for online use, but the answer scrambling and algorithm function did not work. This led me to try the Test Center.

When I posted the quiz to the ExamView Test Center, the scrambling of questions worked fine, but I no longer had the answers scrambed, nor most importantly, the algorithm function. Numerical values were the same each time I tested the quiz online.

Is the algorithm function supported online.

The algorithm function is not supported on Internet tests. To post different versions of the same test, you must publish each version separately.

As a follow up to this comment - when will the algorithm function be supported on Internet tests or LAN tests? This may have been answered elsewhere, but it seems that when you go to all the trouble to make a dynamic test, it should be able to be posted, enabling every student to experience different numbers. This is the beauty of using dynamic content. Without supervision, it would be paramount that every student completes a different test.
At least LAN testing should enable correct/incorrect results to be recorded.
Is this concept incorporated in the next version? It makes sense!

Because the correct answer can change in a dynamic question, it invalidates many of the result reports in ExamView--both in the Test Manager and with the Learning & Test Center. For this reason, adding the use of dynamic content to Internet and LAN tests will be a major overhaul. It is something we have thought about and will definitely consider for the future, but it is not currently at the top of the list of requested features.

I realize it's not what you're looking for, but you can use dynamic content in LAN tests if you set the test up with no roster.

"...but it is not currently at the top of the list of requested features."

It is at the top of my list.
