QuickTake does not recognize any of your eInstruction response pads even though an eInstruction receiver is attached to my computer.

Physically verify the connections between the eInstruction receiver and your computer. If all of your connections are tight, check to see that your COM port is set correctly and not being used by another application (such as MindPoint Quiz Show, eInstruction CPS, or PDA (such as a Palm Pilot)). To reset your COM port, close QuickTake and any other application that may be using the COM port. Also, disable any software associated with a PDA device. Relaunch QuickTake go to Preferences to set the COM port.
